What were you involved in during high school? 

Marching and symphonic band (percussion), theater, tennis, church youth group, Key Club, Boy Scouts (I’m an Eagle!)

What degree did you earn in college? 

B.A. in Computer Information Systems from University of Houston – Clear Lake

How long have you been working with students? 

10 years

What do you like best about working at College Admissions Assistance?

I love helping students discover potential careers and majors based on their educational and life goals.

What do you enjoy doing with your free time?

Anything outdoors: fly fishing, hiking, horticulture.

What is an interesting fact about you?

I am an aspiring root beer connoisseur.

What career did you want to do as a kid?

I wanted to become an architect, fireman or professional percussionist.

What did you like best about college?

As the president of our Student Activities Board, I learned a lot about leadership, communication, organization and how to laugh at my mistakes.

What is one piece of advice you would give someone applying to college?

Have fun exploring your options! As teenagers, it’s easy to focus what you know and not what could be. Dream big. Visit a variety of colleges. Get advice from others. Enjoy the process.

What is the best advice you received during your college planning?

“It’s not where you go, it’s what you know.” No matter what college you attend or what degree you receive, it’s what you do with it after graduation that matters.
